Quality Control Inspector/CMM Programmer
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Operation: Develop, test, and run complex measurement programs using Zeiss Calypso software, including loading/unloading parts and troubleshooting issues.
Inspection & Testing: Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM and hand tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify conformance.
GD&T Interpretation: Analyze blueprints and CAD models with strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to determine proper inspection techniques.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate detailed measurement reports, analyze deviation data, and document Non-Conformance reports (NCRs) for failed parts.
Maintenance & Collaboration: Maintain CMM accuracy through weekly calibration and housekeeping and collaborate with programmers/operators to resolve quality issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software (programming and operating).
Familiarity with AS9100 reporting requirements
Strong understanding of GD&T standards.
Experience in high-precision manufacturing environments (e.g., semi-conductor, automation, aerospace).
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and 3D CAD models
Typical Qualifications
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
3-5+ years of experience in CMM operation/programming
